Remembering Dr. Jagan Mohan Rao with fondness and respect
Dear friends and family of Dr. Jagan Mohan Rao:
It is with deep sadness that I write to you today, mourning the loss of our dear friend and colleague, Jagan. His sudden passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who affectionately knew him, but his memory will forever remain as a constant friend, a gentle guiding light, and a champion for excellence.
I, Suryanarayana SV, had the privilege of knowing Jagan for over three decades, first as a fellow member of the Hyderabad Chapter of ICSI in 1991 and later as a friend and confidante. Throughout our journey together, I consistently witnessed his gentle nature, his unwavering commitment to neutrality, fairness, and a smile that could put anyone at ease.
While Jagan enjoyed the spotlight, his primary driving force was his passionate dedication to the institute and the profession. His positions in life weren't merely titles; they were platforms for Jagan to tirelessly advocate for the profession, elevate its standards, and inspire young minds.
He had a twinkle in his eye, a playful spirit, a genuine zest for life, and finding joy in the simplest things. He loved networking, connecting with people, and building bridges. It was a chance to learn, laugh, and feel his unwavering optimism rub off on you.
His books, "Company Secretary Corporate Governance and Sundarakanda" and "Company Secretary Corporate Governance and Bhagavad Gita," stand as testaments to his intellectual depth and spiritual connection. I, along with many others, urge Jagan's family to consider making these works available online, ensuring his wisdom continues to illuminate our lives.
Jagan Mohan Rao leaves a void within the ICSI family and within each of our hearts. He was a rare gem, a beacon of ethical leadership, and a friend who always had a kind word and a smile ready.
Today, we not only mourn his loss but also celebrate his extraordinary life. Let us continue to carry his legacy within us, striving for excellence, fostering genuine connections, and radiating the warmth that so beautifully defined him.
May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to us all.
With deepest condolences,
Suryanarayana SV
