Significance of 69:
As I sit down to write this heartfelt thank-you note, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the flood of warm wishes that came my way on the eve of my 69th birthday (22 November 2023).
Celebrating the birthday of a person born in 1954 carries a unique significance, marking not only the passage of another year but also the culmination of the sixth decade of life. It's a moment to reflect on the journey so far and anticipate what lies ahead.
Your wishes, conveyed through various platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, email, and even phone calls, have added an extra layer of joy to this milestone. Whether you were among the first to send your regards or if life's demands kept you momentarily occupied, each message holds a special place in my heart. If you've yet to convey your wishes, please consider this blog an open invitation to share in the joy of the occasion, for better late than never.
A Grand Start:
A delightful surprise started the day when my 10-year-old grandson, Vivaan, called from abroad to convey his greetings and also to announce a gift that his parents (my daughter and son-in-law) had ordered through Flipkart. This unexpected gesture set the tone for a day filled with positivity and added a spark of excitement to my birthday.
Temple Serenity:
Accompanied by my wife, I visited the serene Vijaya Ganapathi temple, which set a peaceful tone. Itโs a place known for its cleanliness and tranquil atmosphere. Our brief visit left us with a sense of peace and added to the overall bliss of the day.
Unboxing Gift:
Returning home, I was greeted by the arrival of a Samsung F34, the recently launched 5G smartphone, as a gift from my daughter's family. The timing couldn't have been more perfect, given my ageing phone's slowing performance. It's a gift that aligns perfectly with my needs, reminding me of the thoughtfulness of my family.
Family Ties:
Later in the day, our journey took us 80 kilometres to my relatives' house, where we participated in a pooja and enjoyed a warm lunch. It has reinforced the significance of family ties. The blessings and good wishes poured in, including a recitation of Veda Aashieervadam by the talented pooja-performing priest.
Digital Delight:
During the return drive, I stumbled upon an interesting tidbitโa numerologist's blog mentioned that celebrating the 69th birthday is associated with good things to come. The revelation added a touch of mystique to the day, thanks to the angelic number 69.
As the day unfolded, I received calls and messages from friends and well-wishers like Mrs. Nimtha V (my professional colleague), Mrs. Chandra Ranganathan (my contemporary family friend), Shri Bandhakavi Girija Sankar (super senior citizen and former executive of All India Radio and Doordarshan TV), and Rtn Raghu Babu (an enterprising entrepreneur). The digital realm buzzed with greetings, with a special mention to an email from GR Murthy, whose words about our enduring friendship touched my heart. I must say here that Mr. GR Murthy has given an editorial review of my newly launched eBook, Career Boost: 9 Certification Advantages. See my blog: https://www.suryanarayana.com/blogs-post/am-now-best-selling-author-on-amazon It's moments like these that make me realise the richness of the relationships I've been blessed with over the years.
Gratitude in Giving:
In the spirit of giving back, I made a modest online donation to Sri Sri Rukmini Dwarkadhish Temple, ISKCON, contributing to their noble cause of feeding the needy.
Reflections on 69:
As I pen down these thoughts, I can't help but feel a profound sense of happiness. Turning 69 has been a day filled with surprises, blessings, and the warmth of your wishes. Eleanor Roosevelt's words echo in my mind:
"With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts."
Your wishes have indeed infused me with renewed strength and gratitude.
It was nice of you to make my 69th birthday so memorable and joyous occasion.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Suryanarayana SV
